Key wont turn

My key wont turn from positon zero unless I pump the brakes for abot 30 seconds, it sounds like air is coming out of my front defrost vents on the dash. After a while the key starts and the car runs normal. Any ideas before I take it to the shop?

Dunno what the problem is ... but others have had the same problem and have been given similar advice ...

So it behooves you to see what they did (and what they were told).

A quick /steering wheel(F3) in the bestlinks nets me the following.
