Ah, ok. I wouldn't think a thing about that unless you said it with slurred speech. Now, "Ich bin heiss." means just that, no matter which way you put it.

Well my wife would agree with me if I said "Ich bin heiß" but it has nothing to do with how hot or cold it is.

I agree, I want one every time I see one...right up until I sit in one. What an ergonomic mess. the steering wheel to hand to gear lever is a mess it is actually painful.

Back to the CTS-V, I am amused by Cadillac pricing scheme - 180 from the germans. 6AT is standard, 6MT is an option. the sedan base price is more than the coupe.

At least at the dealership we went to, they told us their main customer base for the 2nd gen CTS is BM owners. Another bimmer couple were working a deal on a sedan, black over cashmere (creme) just like their current BM.

If you can get past the interior (GM-ish), the mechanicals and underpinnings are superb. It is a great driver's car, in either transmission (I prefer the 6MT). Collectors... go grab a 6MT Wagon (very limited and rare).

I agree on the Recaros - they felt better to me (initially, anyway) than the sport seats in my E93. And an option on the 3.6DI.

Wife was concerned about complementary service - Cadillac now has it, and the dealership service dept. was open on Saturday which is a go/no go for me. The dealer is a multi-GM store, but they pointed out that the Caddys had their own service lanes and the techs were Caddy specific, supposedly no Buick/GMC/Chevy techs would be working on your car.

And the salesperson took great pains to explain that - at least, presently - Cadillac would not void warranties if the car was track bound. Of course, abuse - such as crash shifting a gear box - would not be covered, but otherwise Caddy was "encouraging" track days.

Probably not, but the guy who likes Caddy's now doesn't have to buy an M3.

I hear you. I have had plenty of opportunities of picking up a 'vette (the money and respect was there) in my life, but just like when I was looking at the sticker on a new ZR1 ($125K), I kept thinking to myself on how I could pick up a pristine F360 Stradale for that...so I've never owned a 'vette and probably never will.

Yeah I had a 2004 CTS-V for a short time. I really liked the car, I thought the interior was nice and the 400 bhp 395 ft-lb LS6 motor was great, but I would tend to agree there doesn't seem to be much overlap in the BMW/Caddy crowd. At least not as much as I would expect.

Wow. This was fast. I am in shock. Kudos to Emission and Llando88 for making this happen. Now if I post something on-topic in here, will it result in a report, ban or deletion? I'm confused, it's messing with my mind.

This makes me want to turn my sig into purple, as a drop in the bucket to support Emission after the hefty 25% moderator pay-cut he took for the team.
