I have just had a message from the "Personal Messaging" system.

They feel that the E9X OT thread violates their CBA ans are suing anyone who post personal message material in E9X OT.

The PM section is debating whether or not to decertify. If they do decertify, they will be bringing an anti-trust law suit against Bimmerfest E9X forum and affiliated forums.

This is of course, a personal message from PM to OT and thus they will be suing themselves, and me as well for being an accessory.

A Station Wagon can never be a "Sports" anything.

My wife and I average $850,000 a year combined.

As for the jobby job. Well the bad news is I start on Monday (I wanted to have a week to go to CA and dive). The good news is that I got a full time gig working for a company which is a department of defense contractor Meaning I work for the DoD

This may be OT for the car discussions......but 204 MPH might have exceeded the tire's speed rating unless they were "bracket" Y speed designation, and then certified for that speed by the tire mfgr. You checked? No need to take unnecessary risks!

Speed ratings are very complicated. I drove a Ferrari 599 at 205 mph, a McLaren SLR at 204 mph, and an Audi R8 V10 at 195 mph. In each case, the vehicles were above 186 mph (the tire speed rating "Y") for no more than 15 seconds - I just watched the video and timed it. The venue was a long airport runway. The P Zero tires were brand new (that morning), and the ambient temps were cold. Heat is the big enemy at that speed, not centrifugal force, so I was hardly worried.*

The story runs on Autoblog this Friday.

I'm sure the McLaren has "bracket" Y. Too dangerous otherwise for its speed capability. 19 mph over 186 (max for non-bracket Y) shouldn't be a problem for virgin tires...short duration...very short, with few such cycles, properly inflated. Don't mean to be too "motherly" but check the PSI yourself before screaming off...we need you here! Seen too many high speed lab failures in my life. Looking forward to the blog!

I've been purple for a long time. I just think it's great when people work together to make a good thing better.

Oh man, this thread is perfect for me.

We had heavy rain all day today in the Great Lakes region. I am driving on the highway to get to school and still amazed as to how well my rwd 325i holds up in the rain.
