BMW X6 5.0 Repair HELP
Well I dropped of my 2009 x6 5.0 at BMW last week because it smelled like it was burning oil and white smoke was coming from my exhaust. Long story short they said I didnt get my oil changed on time and want to charge me 6100.00 to replace the turbos. Does anyone here know if this is a fair deal or not? Is there aywhere else I can go to get this done? After spending Almost 200k on BMWs over the past 4 years I assure you this will be the last one. Thanks in advance

Do you have paperwork documenting oil changes? Were they late? If so, how late?

+2. BMW oil change intervals are rediculously long to begin with. If you went past that, heaven help you.

As was said above, if your service interval light is like mine, it's better to do with 2 green bars then 10 minutes into a red bar! Did you notice any weird issues driving that would indicate failing turbos?

I don't understand why they want to replace the turbos because it's burning oil..... unless it's all coked up in the turbo. I feel like you're being taken for a ride. I'd get a second opinion
