Right Parking Lamp Malfunction

I have heard there is a Do It Yourself on this topic, but I'm new to this community and cannot locate how to access and replace the bulb. Can someone point me in the right direction. I would be very appreciative.

If it is the circular lights that surround your headlights (i.e. angel eyes), you will have to remove your bumper I believe. Seach angel eyes or look in DIY section of 7 series.

For 745s, the easiest way would be to remove four screws, moving whole light assembly forward and replace the bulb thru opening i metal lamp enclosure.

You do not have to remove the bumper on the 745s only the 750s, though the dealer will tell you they do have to take off the bumper and it cost about 388 bucks. You can def save yourself some money with just a little effort.

Go to youtube and look up "angel eye E65". I just did mine this weekend and ive never worked on a car before. It will take some time and patience the first time around. But if you ever have to replace them after this point, should be able to get it done in about 20 mins. The driver side is pretty easy to get to, once you take of the plastic panel. The Video pretty much explains it all. The bulb location is in the middle of the headlight so to speak, actually in between the two rings\halos. When you buy the OEM bulb from the dealer, youll notice it comes with a black and red cap that covers it. Thats the cap that youll want to look for once youve unscrewed the 4 screws to the headlight and pulled it forward. You may need a flashlight, I used a LED Flashlight app on my iphone. This is not something you need a lot of tools for.

The more difficult side is the passenger side because the airbox that sits behind the headlight, makes it too difficult to get to the angel eye bulb with it in the way. The video does not explain how to remove this. To Remove you must remove the small black hose connected to the airbox first. To remove that hose you must press in on the plastic ring, kinda of like when you remove the top on a gas can. Youll also need to undo the clamps that connect the large blackpipe that comes from the engine to the airbox. There are 2 clamps that u must unhook to disconnect. This detachment, will alow you to remove the airbox so it iseparate, that way you dont have to disconnect the coolant flowhose that lays ontop. Once thats disconnected remove the two phillips head screws located in front of the airbox and undo the clamps on the side of the airbox to remove the top of the airbox. Once you have removed the top you can pull out the airbox. Youll have to be carefull and use a bit of force, becuase there is a rubber ring that sticks out that obstructs the path when trying to take it out. But with a little force it can be taken out. Once the airbox is out remove the screws to the headlight , there are 4. You will want disconnect the electrical cord to the head light on the edge. Pull the Headlight about two inches forward. I found it easier to get to the cover that is gos over the angel eye when I angled the headlight toward the right. Once youve found the cap turn in counter clockwise. The cap was easy to get off. To take the angel eye bulb out you must apply a bit of pressure forward and then turn counter clockwise. Replace with the new bulb turn it clockwise and put on the new cap. Reconnect the electric cord for the headlamp. Done.

This along with the youtube vide should help out , can place pics of you would like.
