hyper-flash

Is hyper flash bad? I cant find any "definitive" information on whether it affects any of the workings of the car aside from the quicker flashes... Ive changed the tail light turn signals from filament to LED bulbs. I plan to do that to the side and front turn signals as well so they all match.

it is common to get the hyper flash for leds bulbs. but it won't hurt anything. when i changed stock bulbs to led ones on my motorcycle, i had to buy a flash fuse to return them to regular flash.
so if you can find a flasher fuse for leds to replace the stock you'll be in bussiness.

from what I've read everyone is getting the flash modulator to get it back to normal, but is it worth the money?... i don't particularly mind that it has a really fast flash... the thing I'm most worried about is if i leave it will something bad happen to my car

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if that's your concern, why even undertake the mod in the first place?

i wouldn't say its a concern per se. The only thing that changed when I switched out the filament for led was the blink speed. There isn't any "light out" type warnings on the dash, and all of the signals work properly. if the blink speed is the only thing that will change then I am completely fine with leaving it the way it is (not buying a modulator).

I'm by no means an electrical engineer, but hyperflash is when the power sent to the bulb isn't all being used. For example, when a taillight is out, the other will hyperblink to tell you somethings wrong.

As far as lasting effects, I'd imagine none. Unless it bothers you that everyone behind you thinks "man, this guy has a BMW but can't afford to swap out a broken bulb!"

yes the modulator will work, like i said i had bought one for my bike to fix the problem.
but the hyper flash won't hurt anything other than just an annoyance.

Ok, and I definitely would like to save the money and not buy a modulator. But I didn't think it would hurt anything but there isn't really any info about what it affected (at least what I found).... and i actually like the faster blink.

Do you have pictures or video of the lights during day and night? I'm interested in how it turned out, I've been pondering this idea for quite a while.
