Help with a 1987 or 1989 325

I'm new to the BMW game and I have a question that may sound dumb. I have either a 1987 or 1989 325 coupe. It does not have an "i" after the 325 on the back of the car. I was wondering if this meant it was different then a 325i. If it is different from a 325i please explain how. Thank you so much for reading!

The production date of the car is on the black sticker located on the driver side door jamb.
Any car with a production date of 8/86 to 7/87 is a 1987 MY car. Production date 8/88 to 7/89 is a 1989 MY car.
3....3 series model.
25...2.5 litre slant six inline.
S...Sport...added bonus of a limited slip differential.
This is what the badge on the rump means.
Since these cars are 20+ years old equipment may have been altered added or deleted by the various owners during the cars usage.

i drive a 325, it is actually a 325e it mean efficiency. They bored and made the stroke longer to 2.7. I know it says 2.5 trust me its a 2.7. They took off the "e" because sales went down with it on there people thought it was economy which it basically is

+1, "325" on back without an 'e' is still the eta. Economy, 121HP, lower-revving, ( different tach to reflect lower RPM) more torque and better mileage than a 325i. If it is a late 87-88 model--then has a little more HP, like 127hp and I think different fuel-management system. I have a 87 and like it. Sturdy engine and good mileage. They last if maintained. Welcome!
