Cool 1989 735i Driver's seat twisted

The front dirvers seat is twisted, Only one side on the seat back is adjusting, What do you think the problem is and how would one fix it.

Common problem. Cable to motor has failed. Lots of info at bimmerfest. It's not difficult to do your self (apparently !!)

plz do tell how to fix i got in the car after purchasing it and was trying to postion self for drive home and BAM! the right side of the drivers seat made a noise and seems like it twisted or broke and cant move it, however the motors are stll function on the seat? but of course not adjusting the Twist but seat does recline and move

Several vids on You Tube as well as 'how to's' on this and other forums. It's not rocket science. Hasrdest part it taking the REALLY HEAVY seats out!!

Piece of cake, mate..

I just did both my drivers, and passenger seats with the cable in place.
Drive the seats until they are even.
Remove the seats, carefully now.. the tracks have sharp edges.
Heat the metal end, pull sheathing out, clip sheathing, re-heat metal end, and install.

I used the abridged method.
