Adjustable steering column
Hello everyone...I have a question about my 87 535is. I see it has a lever underneath the steering column, but when I pull the lever down, it doesn't do anything. Is my steering column supposed to be adjustable? I know they're not on the E30s, but they don't have that lever either.

This is the locking pin sticking. What you need to do is while trying to turn the key gentlely, move the steering wheel back and forth. (as much as you can) This has always worked for me.
