x3 bmw and verizon iphone

Hi. Just picked up 2011 x3. I did not get nav or any enhanced "smartphone integration," (didn't know that even existed), but the car is bluetooth compatible of course, and I can get the iphone to sync up to work as a phone with no problem. However, how do I get audio to stream through bluetooth? It seems that there is no way for me to do this.

Also, if I want to attach through a cable, what is the proper thing to purchase?

So I am interested in problems anyone has encountered with the Bluetooth pairing of a new iPhone4 from Verizon Wireless with either 2009 335xi or 2007 x3. Just Bluetooth, not the music files. Thanx.

You can stream Bluetooth thru the audio aux port by adding a $50 Blackberry Bluetooth stereo gateway off ebay - Google it - works very well - have it in my Honda and boat as well. Yes, it works with an I4 phone.
