Mud flaps

Greetings from Vancouver, Canada.

I am going to place my order on my first ever BMW tonight. Am getting the X3 28i.

Are the mud flaps (mud guard) standard? I checked the BMW Canada website but there isn't any info. Do they look good on the car?

Not standard, are an accessory I think.

Don't care for them myself, but you may.

I wouldn't mind putting a set of flaps on my X3. Because the Alpine White M Sport is all white with lots of black trim elements I think they would actually look good. But not sure if the M Sport will require special flaps. Does anyone know for sure if the wheel flares are different for the M Sport?
