lol nice!

I was able wash, clay and 2 step polish the front of my car today. It's under a car cover now waiting till Wed when I get a chance again Bimmerfest or Mfest is the only time I detail mine, but then again it sits in the garage most of the time anyways

That's exactly what I did. Three hour nonstop marathon. Wash, clay, Porter Cable Meguiar's Tech Wax, finish with hand buff Carnuba...

I usually do it a month or so before the event. The last couple of years I have been lazy. and skipped steps. Not this time..

My body is so sore now...

Meguiar's products work great. They are also donating some product for Bimmerfest...

Anyone have a good place to take your car to for a good detail? I've never clayed or polished a car before; would hate to screw it up right before Bfest. Otherwise the lady will get the best that I can give her.

I am a long time fan of Meguiar's products which works well. I use the on my 87 Toyota which still shines like new. However I like the P21 line for my BMW. The paint prep is gentle enough and the P21S wax is awesome. It doesn’t last as long as a polymer sealant, but what I like is that it shines deep. I use the Meguiar's clay bar to clean the paint as needed (really the weekend prior to Bimmerfest).

The detailing-based companies sponsoring the show will probably be willing to do clay bar demos..

I always wash mine the night before Bimmerfest. This year is it's last though, lease is up. If anyone wants some E85 Z4 stuff, like a windscreen, let me know. Or check this thread out.
