Up and down idol,missing,gas smell,smoke

After intake manifold gasket replaced,car won't idol,,when it does it goes up down up down ,,car was perfect b4,,,,misses when I try to drive,,,,,lil smoke from pass. Side engine,,,smell of gas...but I don't see gas leak,or bad vacuum hoses,,,help,,,thanks

gaskets arent seated properly

So how do I fix gaskets not seated right ,,,,I did not use no gasket maker ,,shuld I of,,,thanks again

well depending on how you put it on, with trying to get the crankcase tube in, a piece could of gotten pinched or you coulda over torqued one side and its not complete sealed on teh other side

Is there anyway of telling if gaskets r not seated,,,,,can I spray carb ,,cleaner around gaskets to see...thanks for all ur help downhiller,,,,,shuld I use gasket sealer ,,,,I hate to take it back off if I'm not sure that's the problem,,,,hopefully there's a way to tell if gaskets r unseated

Do u know the pattern to torque the bolts,,,,,i just put em on any ol way,,,,,my stupidity,,,,but I did use torque wrench,,

If the gaskets don't fix it, check your ICV as well.
