Electrical problem
I've got an '87 325. My speakers started shorting out in the back a few weeks ago. Now the front is doing it. If I hit a bump sometimes they come back on. Now the clock/temp display is flickering back and forth between two screens and last night the interior lights started flickering. NOT COOL! I have NO idea where to even begin looking! The windows, locks & antenna work fine.

Begin by removing both battery cables from the battery and cleaning the posts and the inside of the cable clamps, then remove the ground cable from its retaining bolt in the trunk and clean it to shiny metal as well. Reinstall cables, verify they are tight and report back.
