Could this be?

As of yesterday, my X3 status was at "start of production". The production date I was given was the 21st week of the year. My CA told me he had an estimated date of 05/27/11. I noticed that my car was at the start of production on the timeline this Monday. I logged on this morning and it's jumped all the way to "at preparation center". What! Could this be possible? What does this all mean?

BTW-I see no video yet.

Clearly it means your car has already been built and is at the prep center so that you can take delivery. You can't prep something that isn't build. BMW website has really long delay times as far as updating status. The 800 number is more accurate in comparison. Don't be so surprised, once it begins productions it actually only take them 40 hrs to finish the car. You will learn this when you do a tour of the plant.

is that 40 consecutive hours or 40 total building hours? (e.g. 10 hours per day for 4 days)

Just got notice from CA that my car is scheduled to be at port June 11th and that it will be another week to 10 days until it reaches the dealership. I need to get my order for my accessories in.......the wait is sure agonizing.

I thought your car finished production a week before mine (even though I ordered the car before you)? If anything, they should get to port around the same time........?
