weird rattle

I have a new X335i, which i am very happy with. however, I am ocd about rattles and the like.

There is distant mid-frequency rattle from outside the cabin (sounds like coming from engine bay or under the car around the drivers side) that i hear at low speeds, especially as i slow to a stop or less so as i start out. It occurs as I am slowing, but i can also hear it a bit after stopping, so not in the drive train. I suspect something is knocking against something else and the engine or other components resonate at just the right frequency at lower rpms to make the sound. Don't hear it once i get up to speed. Not real loud, but its just "there", enough that i am now very aware of it when it occurs.

Anyway, i'll have to go to the service center, hopefully convince them i'm not crazy (my wife always thinks i am when i complain about this sort of thing) and see if they can figure this one out.

Anybody have anything similar?

Try the noise dampening plugs that they have talked about on this forum? Although I remember someone mentioning that the plugs were standard in the 35i model and it was mainly just and issue with the 28i's. But who knows...
