27 month lease instead of 24?

Hello Everyone,
Just worked out a lease on a Z430i yesterday. It is Black on Black and has PP, Nav, Ipod, Sirius and Cold Weather. It was sitting in NJ waiting to get into dealer stock. I think I worked out a pretty good deal on it too.

I traded in my 2007 650i, which I bought from the same dealer last year. I am very excited to pick up the Z4 at the end of the week!

Here is my question. When we were working out the deal, the manager asked if I wanted to add on extra months to my 10K a year 2 yr lease. I said no, but now thinking about the time of year, I would not mind getting a 27month lease. How would this work? Would I get extra mileage? Would the residual change? Would I just pay the extra 3 months and get a pro rata amount of extra mileage?

Has anyone done this before? Please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help!

Most likely - The residual value would have gone down, but the monthly payment would still have been lowered, the money factor would remain the same and you would have received 833 miles/month for each of the additional 3 months. That is the scenario that makes most sense.

Whoa? A 27 month on the Z'ers now?!?
