Want to add power to inside of trunk
I'd like to add a power outlet (cigarette lighter outlet) into my trunk, running a lead off my fuse box, so it doesn't interfere with the other electronics in the car. Could someone kinda walk me through how to do that, as I don't generally do customizations/modifications to cars.
I have a 2007 750Li w/ Comfort Access. Thanks in Advance! |

As far as what fuse to tap into, I'm not really that sure but there are a number of possible fuses. For example there is the coolbox/refrigerator fuse that's probably unused in your car. You will need to put a the add a fuse in there, HOWEVER only plug in the fuse for the wire sticking out, do not plug in both! Then simply run a power wire to the power side of the outlet, and run the negative/black side to a grounding point. |
