Strange Hidraulic Noise

I've had an 07 650 for about 8 months and it is mostly a weekend driver since I have a 4 year old. Would really like to start with some mods soon as I'm jealous of several of the rides I've seen on this board. I've noticed that after my car sits for a while I hear a weird hydraulic noise like something in the car is calibrating. Is this normal? What is it?

If it's what I'm thinking it is, then its normal. The sound is like a servo that buzz for a few seconds, correct? You usually hear it once you disarm the car and when you arm it. These cars are never fully off as you think. It basically goes in a sleep state once you turn the car off. This is one of the reason you will see a lot of discussions here regarding the battery life of these cars. As long as the buzz go away in a few seconds you are ok.

That's exactly what it sounds like. If I open the door after car has been dormant a while, I hear the same noise as if that brings it out of 'sleep' mode. Thanks for the input.

No problem. I was told it was the fueling pump priming when I ask my SA a while back.
