Wow these things are bright. I hope I can pass my inspection next year

My camera phone doesn't do them justice. They aren't nearly as over-saturated as they appear in the photo. Stunning. It looks 1000% better than stock.

Yes. I didn't like how the low beams are a nice white color, but the DRL rings (angel eyes) were orange/yellow.

simple plug and play?

I wouldn't call it hard, but its not plug and play. It does require wiring and mounting 2 HID ballasts, as well as drilling holes in your headlight caps to feed the wires through.

I found that the wires were a little short for a Z4, so I had to splice an extension onto the red wire to tuck my wires away neatly.

I just swapped out the bulbs, yes plug and play, now my angel eyes are a nice white color, not blue, just white. Bought the bulbs on ebay for $30.

rmorin49, which bulbs did you get? You may have mentioned them in a previous post, but I don't recall. I'd like something a bit whiter, though it needn't be anything like the new 5er LED rings. A simple bulb swap would be my preference.

Yes certainly options like the MTEC H8 will be inexpensive, and plug and play. I was looking for something brighter, so I was looking at LED (Angel IBrights or LUX) or the Alpine HID's. The HID's seemed the brightest solution, and cheaper than the LED options, so I went with Alpine.
