I'm in love!

Picked up my red X3 28i on Friday afternoon and my love affair with my 2001 Z3 is officially over. I've waited over two months for the car and I'm so stoked I can't believe it.

I was only able to drive the car for about 24 hours before I had to leave town but it's sitting safely in the garage waiting for me to get back.

It drives like a dream, has plenty of power, the premium sound was totally worth it (reference other thread) and I can't wait to really need to use the nav. Never had a car with nav before so the learning curve is going straight up on this one!!

I got all packages except the DHP. No regrets. Got BMW Apps/Smartphone Integration. Another high learning curve. I ordered all weather mats for front and rear from Weathertech. Didn't like what BMW had to offer.

Can't wait to plan a road trip somewhere fun! Will post pics in a few more days.

Wow, Z3 to X3 is a big transition!
I concur; this new generation X3 is just an amazing package that also hits my sweet spot perfectly.
Enjoy your new ride!

I feel like BMW rubber mats are usually pretty good. Is anyone else unhappy with them?

One of the things I liked about the WT mats is that the mat for the rear seats has the rubber going over the hump in the back seat. BMW mats do not. Just my personal preference, I'm sure the BMW mats are of a good quality. I wasn't implying that they weren't. I'm just uber-anal about my car and sure as s**t someone will put their grimy foot on the hump in my car and get it dirty!

Yep, I have OCD too.....just one of my many character flaws!

Only a flaw to those who don't have it. Now close the darn drawers, put the cap back on the tooth paste, and check the lock three times when you leave.

I see clearly that I am turning out just like my dad when he bought his last new car!

Can't drive it during the day....the bright sunshine will fade the paint. Can't drive it at night.....it's dark, and some numbnut could hit you because he couldn't see you. Can't drive it during the rain....that makes the roads slick and some numbnut could skid into you.

Meh....what's a girl to do?! Home early from work so today I'm gonna go out and just drive!
