Adding 03 M5 part to 1995 52i
I was told by the previous owner of my car ( hes a BMW mechanic) that he rebuilt the engine on my car and he also made the pistons bigger. he also told me that i can get close to 2003 M5 HP by putting 03 m5 injectors/ intake and exhaust. i was wondering if that possible or worth it ?

An e39 m5 has 394bhp... getting that much power out of a 2.5l engine will take a lot more than the intake, injectors, and exhaust. With all that extra (plus let's say you throw in some cams), you may net another 80hp at the most!
Methinks the guy you bought it off of has to get off the hard stuff Sent from my ADR6300 using Bimmer App

Have no idea. But i would think buying a car with an engine built/modified with unknown specs by someone else is just asking for trouble. Kind of like buying a DIY hot rod. You had better be good with the wrench!

To get M5 performance out of the 525i engine you'd need to turbo charge or supercharge, exhaust, intake, etc.

Ram air is the best intake and we already have it. If you need more take out the driver side high beam.
Pink top injectors (believe they came on S50 (1995) M3s) are the ones you want. A chip would also be a good idea. Before you supercharge you should replace all the gaskets and hoses, make sure you get a metal impeller w/p and it'd be awesome to get the head of, cleaned , ported and polished. You'd make serious power then. The cams don't hurt. I got a set of S50 cams which are the M3 cams and bolt onto M50 motors. I'm looking to sell them and you can throw your hat in the ring for them if the pending sale falls through. Alot of guys were begging me for them but I don't think any wanna actually bite the bullet. They're super duper rare to find without all the rest of that pesky E36 around them. Do all of those things, possibly cams and then decide of you wanna s/c. Forced induction takes a pretty big toll on motors and their lifespan. You'd almost be better with nitrous (I may get flamed for that but I'm prepared to defend it). Also, buy my headers. Probably the most bang for your buck performance wise, and that's a truly honest statement, not me trying to hawk my own sh!t haha
Ixnay the headers, they're sold. Sent from Joe's iPhone using BimmerApp

In order to get E39 M5 performance you need a E39 M5.
