Good deal on 28i...?
Hello everyone...been lurking on the X3 side of Bimmerfest for the past couple of weeks. My wife and I are close...very close on a 2011 White 28i
The deal we're close on... MSRP plus the options we want came to $44,990 Dealer is offering $42,800 Says 2K off is really it...We live just outside of Boston...good deal or push a bit more? Thanks in advance.

I always deal from invoice up. You can get invoice pricing right on the web for the X3 including the options you want. $36,485 is base invoice on the 28i where I'm at + any options on top of that (at invoice). I negotiated $750 above invoice on my 35i.

I agree
Good thoughts all around....invoice w/ the options we selected landed at 41,700ish...so that would put me $1100 over invoice...at $42,800.

Not bad, but I would try to squeek out more or have them throw in some freebies (spa day for the X3, mats, etc).

Which dealer did you go to?
Ordered mine from Gallery Norwood and negotiated a deal that was $3000 off MSRP for a 28i. |

The X3 is still a very "hot" car and there's little incentive for the dealer to discount to move product at this point.

Assuming you're including destination in the invoice price it's not bad. There will always be someone who paid less, but probably lots who paid more.

I've been quoted $48000+tax for an MSRP of $50900. Is that any good? What do you guys think?

Being that your in CA with a zillion dealers around, I think you can do better. I'd email a couple of dealers and offer them "x" over invoice and see if they will take the offer.

Try going here to see the best price you can get in your area. You don't have to have an Amex card to use it. You can go all the way to the end to see what dealers are willing to sell out without committing (It'll show you threee dealers in your area with 3 prices they are willing to sell at). You can continue past this point if you want to committ or just stop at that point.

I just pulled the trigger on $500 over invoice from BMW of Fremont, plus the $1000 Team USA discount. Some of the other Bay Area dealers held at $1200-1500 over invoice, although BMW SF agreed to $700.

I got a 3.5 quoted at BMW Fremont and with AAA discount only offered me 1500 above invoice for it fully loaded. How do you go about getting the team usa discount since all the events are far away from me, hayward?

I note that the 35's are offered in the ads now at $599 a month -- they seem to be selling, but the 28's languish, hence probably the close to invoice deal reported. Seem to be plenty on the lots of the two major dealers in my immediate area. Unusual for a "hot selling" car to be in the featured ad (along with the 328,528, etc.) for the low price. When I bought my X3 in '06 the "featured" ad price was $399 a month.

My deal was on a custom order, so it wasn't one that was wallowing on the lot, just got lucky maybe. |

500 over invoice is very nice. If you don't mind me asking, who did you deal with at Fremont?
