You realize how much you like your bimmer when you don't have it.
I haven't been able to drive my bmw for about 3 weeks because a tractor trailer had a blow out in front of me and I hit the tire. There was a car beside me so I couldn't avoid it. It did $2200 worth of damage to the car and has been in the shop. I have been driving a rental 2010 chevy malibu. I absolutley hate driving the malibu and it only has 20,000 miles on it. I wish domestic car manufacturers could match the solid feel and handling of a 16 year old german car with 160,000 miles on it.. Hopefully I will get my bmw back this week.

Just went through the same minus the accident. I rented a Chrysler 300. It was very roomy but the acceleration and the feeling that your were riding on wagon wheels with a cheap suspension started to get to me.
I have to say that I liked the head room, but it drove like it could just fall off the road at any moment. I got my car back last week from rust and dent repair and it drives like a tank and looks perfect. At 6'4" I do miss the head room of the Government Motors car. But not that much. The E34 is just ace's all around. |
