Next M3 Coming With A Twin-Turbo V8
According to two different people I recently spoke with, the next M3 will be coming with A Twin -Turbo V8 expected to have 500+ horsepower. One person which works for BMW and the second person works for a BMW tuning company. According to one, the castings have already been ordered. The person who works for BMW also said the next generation F30 3 series, will be released in 2012 as a 2013 model 3 series and is also expected to have a 4 cylinder engine.

This is a little hard to believe, but I surely hope they put as much focus on the weight reduction as the power increase.

As cool as that sounds to me, we know for sure that the upcoming M5 will have "a Twin -Turbo V8 expected to have 500+ horsepower". I don't imagine BMW would make an M3 with as much power as the M5. I'd be happy to be wrong, though.
I bet the F30/F32 M3 will have a twin turbo I6 delivering around 450HP. If they would just make the damn thing all wheel drive I would put down my deposit right now. They won't, though.
