Finally! Sitting in the muffler shop waiting for the xpipe to be installed. I'm going for xpipe and mufflers.

You can't really tell how sweet that sounds form the video...
WDT - thank you for making me do that :-) That is, by far, the best mod for the money. The car purrs like a kitten at idle or low RPM's, but every time you "gas it", oh man, it sounds like a cross between Formula 1 and Murcelago. Love it!!
To anyone contemplating this mod: just do yourself a favor and get it done!

Sounds awesome. So what did you leave in? Just the two front "single" resonators with an exhaust and middle resonator delete?

No, all removed. Mufflers left. Xpipe installed at the front, where the two front resonators were.

Clifton, I lifted the car and noticed that the x-pipe is bented out a little more on the right side. Also the pipes to the resonator are pointed downward to meet the front pipes. Hope this helps.
So far I enjoyed the deep muscle sound. However there is no f1-like high pitched sound at higher rpm. I am wondering whether removing the resonator and moving the x-pipe forward (Thanks to whiteDropTop) will make that bliping sound.

Seems like it. Feels like more "pick up" when you "gas" it.. Also, ive put an rpi scoop and had charcoal filter removed. Numerous "seafoam" and techtron treatments...

Just thought I would share what a great exhaust sounds like.

My 02 Murcielago at track day here in Portland Oregon at PIR.

Cat delete, straight pipe into after market OC exhaust system. V12 605hp!

Pure sex. That poor Audi that followed sounded like a vacuum cleaner in comparison.

That car sure was fun. Must say the more drivers cars where the Ferrari's but that Murci was loud! I would wake up bored and just drive thru tunnels for hours!

headed for a resonator delete.. hope i like it i just want the stock sound to be alil louder when i get on it so im gonna do a x-pipe where the box is and see where that gets me. that f1 sound is killer but i dont think thats what the 650 should sound like..

Greg, you're replacing the resonator box with an x-pipe but leaving the other two resonators ahead of it on the pipes to go for just a little boost in the sound? I've been thinking about doing the same thing since I have a vert and only want a little extra sound... if you get a chance, it would be great if you could post a couple before and after clips. Thanks.

Hey guys I would seriously not do that. The sound is barely noticable when you remove all resonators and place the xpipe up front to keep back pressure or you could get droning. My car sounds stock until I get on it and is not even loud or obnoxious. I also have magnaflow mufflers so stock mufflers will be even more tame. Plus you get rid of more weight on that pig of a car removing them all

probably gonna take the plunge and get rid of the resonators and replace the "box" with a X-Pipe. What X Pipe is everyone getting? There is the Magnaflow one that is around $80 and there is Lawson Industries for around $35. What makes the magnaflow one worth twice as much?
