No I don't have NFLX (yet) since I've been debating whether to go with Dish, Netflix + Hulu Plus or something else, and I've been doing a whole lot of research but for now I'm leaning towards Dish.

I eat at McDonald's, I get my prescriptions from CVS and Walgreens; I fly any airlines I find the cheapest for a given trip; I book from expedia/travelocity/priceline; I search online using Google. Does it mean I am knowledgeable enough to buy those stocks? Far from it. I wouldn't blindly invest in a company simply because I buy its products or use its services, and I can also invest in companies that I don't buy their products nor their services. I don't smoke, but I invest in PM; I don't search Baidu but I still buy the call options; I don't use Verizon but I own its stock.

OXY calls are up nicely today and there is still more to come The August $115 calls are up a good 40% today. I am sticking to my $115 target for this month.

So a question for you and those who's been trading options... I've made a decent amount (not beign greedy) from NFLX put and it's going to report on Monday. Should I close my current put (Sep@250) and buy another one (say, Sep@225) to lock-in the current gain, or just keep holding till Monday? NFLX has dropped 10% from 300 and now there's a better chance it's going to recover on Monday... i still think it's overpriced though.

Can not comment on NFLX. That one is hard to call for me.

I'd say just from "lock-in the gain perspective", what would you do?

I'm sure your BIDU call (like mine) has already gained quite a bit as well. Say you've made 50% and not try to be greedy, but you still want to play the earning on Monday. Would you leave it alone or do something about your existing call?

At 50% just lock them profits. A profit is a profit. Did you look at AMD today?

Can somebody explain to me what's going on with OCNFD...the research I have done has not yielded me any answers as to what (except for that merger) is making it have significant moves, or get an accurate read for the future???

yes I'm new to the NFLX game as my first trade on NFLX is the put I bought at 300 and I closed it out at 255 first thing in the morning.

Not planning on buying anytime soon, at least not till before next Q's earning call. Like I've just said, I think they want to guide low so that they can beat easily. Sure, consider anything > 250 as a sale given it's still on the MA, but then anything less than 250 would be consider a clearence price

My AMZN put order didn't get filled during the day, so I should feel good about it, eh?

The margin is going trending down even though revenue is going up. At such high PEG I'm not going to long AMZN.

Much like Google, AAPL and NFLX, Amazon.com has changed the landscape of consumer purchase. Game changers and market leaders deserve a premium over others.
I would not read too much into reduced margins. Different line of business has a different types of margin. If you insist on evaluating growth story and game changers with traditional PE(G) and don't like then... that is okay..Argue with it, debate about it.. but no need to put your money where your mouth is. Its just not worth it...

The revenue can go through the roof, but at 2% margin you're still talking about some tiny EPS number, making the PE overvalued no matter how you look at it. Just wait till the economy catch another small cold and this company turns into loss within a blink of an eye.

Priceline however is much more reasonable valuation-wise if you want me to pick "Game changers and market leaders deserve a premium over others".
