Quick Headlight bulb replacement question

Is it recommended (or necessary) to remove the entire headlight assembly in order to replace the bulbs, or is it best to simply reach in behind the assembly and twist/pull the bulbs? Thanks in advance.

Just twist and turn. On my 99, taking out the airbox and moving the window washer tank makes the job much easier.

Thanks very much. Job done this morning. Loosened the reservoir to get it out of the way (slightly). Same with air box. Gave me just enough room to make the switch.
