M44 Engine Part Question
Can someone identify this part for me. (Outlined in GREEN)
 I have the 1996 1.9L M44 engine. I looked in my Z3 manual but couldn't find it. I hear it running when I have the engine on. Is this normal? Help would be greatly appreciated.
