Reading, King of Prussia, Lancaster, Allentown, Bethlehem & Points North Caravan?

Just an FYI ....... I'm new to this site & forum stuff, so forgive me if there's any confusion. I started the thread on just wanting to meet up with some other BMW nuts and rip down to the event. I have since met & talked with people from this site & local BMW nuts as well. I live outside of Easton Pa. 18042 & already have set up a meeting place (Park & Ride off of Rt. 33 South) 10 minutes from my house, with approx. 10 people showing up. I figured we'd head out 78 west and catch 476S etc. to the show. I'm sure the crew wouldn't mind meeting along the way (Allentown, Route 663, Lansdale, Broomall, Plymouth Meeting etc.) so if you want to join in that's great just let us know what works best for you & if not we'll meet at the show, I'm sure ............ have a good one.

Yeah I think the "Park & Ride off of Rt. 33 South" is a great place for everyone to meet in the Lehigh Valley. Bethlehem is central to the LV and Rt33 picks up rt78 down the street. We can all gather in the commuter parking lot without a problem.

It sounds like you guys are well organized and off to a good start.
Perhaps Blazin could edit the title of the thread and take out Lancaster. I'll start a new thread (actually I think someone started one) for those of us who are points west (i.e., western Chester County, Lancaster, and York)

I'm going down the PA turnpike past allentown + others from the Wilkes-Barre area..anyone going down that would like to meet up and join this big caravan?

why so early? The meet doesn't start to 10 right? It doesn't take 4 hours to get there..

A group of 16+ are meeting 6:15am at the Rt. 33 South / Park & Ride - right off William Penn Hwy. - hopping on 78W to the 476S Turnpike & then fly'n straight down to 95S - we probably won't leave the park & ride till about 6:30+ ........ it is then about 2.25 hrs from there. We don't feel like sitting in traffic with 1500 cars trying to get in on a two lane rd. I'd just like to be safe then sorry ....... Maybe we'll all catch up on 476S

Does it even open at 8? Still..we'd all be ~2 hours early. Wouldn't ya'll rather all meet up at 7? It takes me an hour to get to Allentown from where I live.. so i'd have to be up and out the door by 5 :|

We will most likely get there @9:15 ...... by us finally rolling out at probably 6:40ish - we're gonna be out of our minds the night before from party'n, detail'n etc. I ain't sleep'n and am on a mission .......

If you're going to hop on PA turnpike (476) I think I'd rather meet you guys right around there before everyone gets on the turnpike? Bethleham would be *sort of* out of the way... I think it'd be easier to hang out off the turnpike in Allentown and wait for you guys to come strolling through.. yay/nay?

Is the rest area on the turnpike just south of the Allentown exit open ??? A good spot to meet the northern tier

We should all probably plan this thing a little differently. Under the FAQ for the event, there is a question "What are the show hours?" and the given response was: "Bimmerfest East 2011 officially opens at 10:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. Gates open at 10:00 AM. Please help us manage traffic flow and do not arrive earlier than 10:00 AM."
