Reminds me of the old Ferrari and Countach kits on a Fiero body. The result was a car that had none of the capabilities of the original, and wouldn't pass even a not-so-close inspection for fit and finish.

The Miata itself is a truly good car with terrific handling, that also did the world a great favor in reviving the traditional roadster. But his isn't doing either marque a favor - not something I'd be very happy with driving (or being seen near) ...

I've seen this turn up before. If you notice there are no lines on the front, it's all once piece.

I've seen a few of those kit cars too, and at least those were trying to mimic something exotic. Not trying to downplay the Z3, but I just can't understand why you would do something like that. There are enough Z3's in existence that you could just buy one, if you like it that much. I think the Z3 is a great looking car, but if I saw something like THAT on the street, I'm not sure what I would say. I'm pretty sure it would involve expletives and a lot of and a little bit of and as I walk away...

I am not a huge fan of the conversion.

However, there is one for the Z4 that reduces the ugliness factor dramatically.

If the Z4 looked like that, it would have sold half a million cars, instead of 100,000.

But of course, that conversion looks like a Z8. LOL

Happy motoring.
