One of his problems is that the project was rearended, and nobody makes the badge anymore. His solution? He ordered a Subaru badge... the lettering is almost identical, and the letters are all there. Great guy.

There was also a Baur convertible at the E30 picnic that a guy who owns a shop down in southern Oregon bought. It was really trashed - the gentleman who bought it told me it was "a diamond in the rough."
I write a blog called Baurspotting, dedicated to locating and identifying all the BMW Baurs in the US. I am familiar with several of the Baur owners in this thread, including Bill, Ras and Bam2002. We have recently found the multi-colored Baur on the trailer that Roadstergal posted above, and we are in contact with the guy who bought it that day, as well as the new owner.

Roadstergal also mentions a guy 'up north' who has a Baur convertible. I am wondering if anyone has any other information on who that might be, or where he is located. Baurspotting would love to track down his Baur also.

Thanks in advance. Any help, no matter how trivial and unimportant it may seem, is greatly appreciated, and we will give credit to you in Baurspotting when we find it! For example, Roadstergal's comment "a guy who owns a shop down in southern Oregon" was sufficient to help us track this Baur to Dave L. in Eugene, OR, the guy who bought it in these pics back in 2003. Every little clue helps! Thanks!
