e36 Angel Eyes

I installed a new set of depo headlights with angel eyes and I'm having a few problems. The first problem being that when I turn my HID headlights on, the ccfl angel eye on the high beam of my passenger side goes off. If i turn it back to my parking lights, it comes back on. If I turn the high beams on while my headlights are on, that angel eye will work as it is supposed to. Also, are my corners (parking lights) always supposed to stay on? They are always on when my switch is either in the parking light or headlight position. -Thanks!

and i think that when the highs go on.. its just drowing out the AE?

Oh yeah it's pretty noticeable cause it's the angel eye on the high beam, so when I have the headlights on, the angel eye on the drivers side highbeam is on while the passenger side is not. I forgot to mention is it normal for all my gauges to jump once I turn my HID's on?

Bingo...that gave it away. You have grounding problems. Start checking the ground straps from the engine to frame and from the headlights to ground. Just ONE bad ground will create all sorts of havoc.

Bingo. Bad ground. I had to fix this issue in mine when I bought it.
