550ix and 312 wheels (staggered)?

Putting my order in today for a 2012 550ix. Want to know if anyone has put the 312 wheels on an AWD? Have read people saying that it should work, but has anyone actually done it?

You are allowed to do staggered now with the latest xdrive iteration. I have ordered 4 Ferric Grey staggered wheels. I wanted to have equal sizes for rotation purposes so I have 2 Rear ferric grey wheels for sale on classified for 900 dollars total.

The dealer put staggered 356 wheels on my 2011 535ix and I've had no issues.

Cool....FWIW, my dealer (service manager and parts manager) told me that running a staggered setup is no issue provided the diameter of the tire front to back is the same.

Example:

20x8.5 245 35 20 front
20x9.5 275 30 20 rear
