. As a 7 driver, it sounds like the 5Series offers the best of both worlds...executive sedan feel with sports sedan performance.

executive being the key word here, at least for me. this edition of the 5er needed to have more of that executive feel or id be looking elsewhere. i feel as though bmw hit the mark on this one point alone.
