rear entertainment settings

I took delivery of my 550 last week. It has the rear entertainment option. In the printed owners manual, it refers to the rear screens being able to view and set navigation options. I do not see this capability regardless of the priority that is set on the front iDrive screens. Are there other board members here that have this option and are able to have the rear screens at least view the nav map? All i have is CD/multimedia and a few other settings options choice liste dont he main screen in the rear.

I am trying to enable the same NAV function in the rear and can't. Did you ever figure it out?

I saw a post from someone in the UK saying it's really cool. Could it be the option is not enabled in the US?

I've tried to no avail. I don't think its an option that's been programmed into US spec cars

Maybe you don't have the rear seat entertainment system professional, only the small one? Professional have 9,5" screen and the other only 7,2" screen or something... That's how it is in Europe, I don't know in us . And only professional give you access to the navi and other things in the computer!!

This is correct. I have the pro system and can use the nav. The rear seat passengers can 'suggest' a route and the driver has to accept it. Not sure if US cars are the same spec in this regard.

US cars allow rear passengers to access and control CD/DVD/RADIO/SATELLITE/USB-IPOD/Stored Music, etc..

Must be a programming feature for us - I also have the upgraded audio system
