P1622 Thermostat MAP Sensor/ Help
1999 528i
Does anyone know of a shop or mechanic that will do the thermostat for less than $400.00? If not, it is what it is, but I would like to know why the car never overheats, and doesn't run hot?? The gauge goes up to just under the middle and stays there through the entire drive. Is there something I'm missing here? Do I need to have the thermostat changed? I read that as a fail safe the BMW computer controlled thermostats still work mechanically by heat and cold as a fail safe. I reset the code and after the next cold start the check engine light will come on and give me that code on the reader. Help? Info? Thx in advance all...
