Noob intro
Been lurking for a bit and figured it's about time for intro. Used to drive a 2007 750Li and recently traded it in for a 2011 535i, M Sport, Graphite II w/Dakota Black interior. I do miss the 7 but really love the 5! Here are a couple of pics...these pics show stock car with 20% tint...just got the car back today from putting on H&R Springs and rear lip spoiler on trunk, will take pics tomorrow and share.

Welcome!
Why'd you not get another 7? How does the F10 compare, in your opinion?

Wow, from a '7 to a '5... surprising switch. I think I'd miss the '7 on long road trips, but would better appreciate the '5 as a daily driver. Congratulations!
M Sport in Graphite looks excellent.

As far as comparison, let me touch on the things that I have really stood out to me: 1. Technology - the tech in the F10 is light years ahead (to be fair though my 7 was a 2007) 2. Steering - the steering on the 7 felt much better and more communicative...from the minute I drove the F10 I thought it was a bit soft and although I am just about used to it now (especially since it's been lowered) the 7 gets the nod. 3. Size - Although my F10 is much smaller, inside and out, I really am enjoying the sportiness of it. My 7 had the sport package on it but it was still such a big and heavy car it made tossing it around not as fun. 4. Leg room - being 6'3" and 205 the drivers leg room in the F10 in just fine. I actually like the smaller cockpit's sportier and tighter feel. The rear leg room isn't even a comparison. WAY smaller in the back seat but I rarely have more than one back seat passenger at a time at which time they can sit behind the passenger so I don't have to adjust. Haven't rolled 4 deep yet to know what kind of impact a passenger behind me will have on my comfort. That's it for now...hope that was a good enough compare for you...again thx for the compliments |
