Are RFT More Susceptible to Nails ?

Just curious, are RFT more likely to 'attract' nails than non-RFT's?....I seemingly run over a nail and have to have it pulled out every 6 months or so...is this RFT related or do I have incredibly crappy luck?

I principle an RFT is more rigid and heavier than an non-RFT due to the internal mesh structure
so it can be hypothesized that it maybe 'stepping' on a nail more aggressively.. (more massive tire...)

Wider tires cover more road surface, may also be attributed to that.

I don't think so. I have picked up nails as frequently with non RFTs as with rFTs

Tire width is not a function of whether or not it's an RFT. The question was whether RFT's are more likely to be punctured by a nail on the road.

RFT's are still just rubber tires. How could they possibly be any more or less prone to pick up a nail?

Imagine you walk through a nail with a rubber air sole (softer and less-rigid),
vs a rubber sole with air and mesh reinforcement (RFT)( more rigid )

I don't weigh 3600 pounds, your analogy is ridiculous. The difference between a runflat and a go flat is in the sidewall anyway, not the tread.

the side wall makes it more rigid

beyond that, you know the RFT's are harder and noisier
this is grand proof that they step on the floor harder
when you put non-RFT-s they feel so soft as everyone who tried may know..

if you had to how would you want to punch a nail? soft? or hard?
