My new 535xi M-sport

Hello all,

I recently purchased a new 535xi (about 2 weeks ago now) - the specs are:

Space Grey Metallic w/ Black Interior and Anthracite wood. M-Sport, P1, P2, Apps, Split folding seats and Sport transmission w/ Shift panels. The build date was 4/2011.

So far I've already had the windows tinted 20%, installed black grills and painted front reflectors. I also had Car Toys in Park Meadows in DTC, CO build a custom subwoofer box with 2 JL 10W6V2 subs.

I had a 2006 650I cabrio and decided it was time for a more family oriented car.. The new 5 caught my attention as my dealer provided me with several loaners while servicing my 6.

I know this is off topic but I live near canon city, co and there is zero BMW events or enthusiast down here. Is there a good BMW following up there. Thinking about joining the local bmwcca chapter and hitting some track days or auto x. I have a 1998 m3 sedan.

Nice!!! I'm not a big fan of the black grill, but I must say it looks really sweet on that grey with the tint. Enjoy!

I bought the black grilles from BMW - they were $148 and in stock the day I picked up the car

I am looking for tint in the Denver area for my 5 (also space grey). Whom did you use and what type of tint did you get ?

I went to Tint Crafters in Centennial.. they're by Arapahoe and Jordan http://www.tctintshop.com/

They do great work.. not a single bubble, scratch, etc. I've used them for all of my previous vehicles.

Uh-oh another M-Sport in Denver, looks great! I'll be keeping an eye out for you, still haven't seen any other M-Sports in person here yet, though more and more F10s.

I took mine to Touch of Shade at Arapahoe and Peoria, did a nice job as well.

How much did the sub setup cost you? Probably the last thing I need but it's tempting. The stereo is really great but could use more low end for sure. Mine is leased so not sure if it would be a good idea anyway.

Did you look at Ceramic tint or didn't really want it ? I want to do it more for heat and since you are also in Colorado curious how you like yours and how well it works.

I honestly didn't look into it. I park the car indoors mostly. I love the tint that's on the car and it seems to help quite a bit with the heat.

Really between the space gray any way u can take some more exterior shot first 1 Ive seen tinted

I went with Dark Graphite Metallic II on my 550ix w/M-sport, etc and had tinting and clear-bra/headlights/mirrors/door handles done at IDS Window Tint. They did a great job, as they have on my other vehicles over the years. They are on South Broadway in Littleton. We did 35 on the front 2 windows with 20 on everything else.

DUDE.... wow....congrats! I am not a big fan of m-sport styling, but that second pic is a killer! Would love to see her from the back (least favorite POV about m-sport for me), so please post pics. Also, please post interior pic with black/antracite combo. sweet!
