Hello all... I'm new here & this is my first BMW question.
I purchased a complete rear sub-frame out of a wrecked 528e. If I understand correctly the metal tag of the differential tells if it's a limited-slip (or not) and what the gear ratio is. The tag's info is "S 2,93 8482" & in yellow paint on the top of the differential is an 'E' (in a box) & an 'S' I believe that does mean it is a limited-slip unit with 2.93 gears. Correct? I don't know the exact year the donor car was. Does the '8482' number offer any clue? |
