+1. I'm curious too. Now that I'm seeing the potential savings on a lease, I'm thinking of ED.

Sure. MSRP was 79350.

Cap Cost 71785 - which is 1200 below 'final invoice' meaning invoice + those dumb training charges, etc.

61% Residual (12k miles), MF .00195 (before any MSDs). Not a loyalty customer (these are the June BMWFS standards).

$2k cash - so monthly payments are $990 (before I did MSD). Don't have the pre-tax handy (its on my spreadsheet at home), but I live in NJ, so its 7%, you can back into it.

I am new to BMW, but I dont recall ever seeing residuals like 61% (or 62% for 10k miles), so I took the plunge. All in all if I could have used US MSRP for residual, and I didn't have the issues getting to Germany, would have definitely done ED, even on the lease.

Waiting - So fired up for you. I'm 10.5 months into my 550 XI M-sport and every day getting into it is a bit of joy.

I was dumb and got into a 2-year lease with high miles that I won't be able to put on the car without major roadtripping - so I'll probably buy it next October once I run the scenarios by the forum here.

I can't imagine a car I'd want more right now - which should say something after owning it for a while.

Anyway, enough about me. Enjoy. One piece of advice - get the tire insurance. I'm 3 new RFT's in after 9K miles. ROI is obvious.
