7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

03 745li shuts off while driving

My 2003 bmw 745li shuts off while driving. When i tried to start an error message came up saying transmission failsafe error or something like that. I towed the car to the bmw mechanic who told me after a few days of trying to fix the problem that it was the crank sensor but after changing that it started, ran for a few minutes the shuts off. This is a headache somebody please help.

Run a search, this has happened to just about everyone, try checking your battery and alternator as many suggest, if not those, like in a few cases, take down to a reputable indy

Happened to me, thought it was the battery turned out to be the alternator. GL.
