550Xi brake wear

I have a 2011 550Xi
After only 8000 miles my rear brake pad indicator states service is required in 5000 miles.
The front pads show service required in 17000 miles. somewhat acceptable but still accelerated wear. Other than my M6, i've never replaced brake pads before 60k miles.
Is anyone else seeing accelerated brake wear? Especially interested in rear brake ware.
Could there be issues with traction control system?

my rears are showing need service much sooner than fronts. Not worried about it, all under free maintenance.

I am at 30000 kms.
Front break indicator at 60000.
Rear break indicator at 17000.
So asked my SA informed me the system is not acurate.
He does not think I will have to replace the rear breaks as is indicated in the cic.
There is a thread about this subject somewhere around here.
There is no other explanation in that than that the system is not indicating the real mileage the breakpads will last.
