Price negotioation on a 535xi- Can anyone help? Dealers trying to not bargain with me
Ok guys. Based off of all the info here, I used Truecar to get a price estimate for the vehicle. I am also looking for an 2012 X5D for the wife. So far, I have found dealers (one in TUlsa, none in Dallas) that will do $1k over invoice AFTER rebates. Did anyone else get a new BMW for invoice before the credits (nav, owner loyalty) essentially making it 4-5k under invoice with credits? Was there a specific dealership (preferably around Dallas) that I Could contact? I want to lease a 535xi or i and buy my X5 diesel.

FWIW I just ordered a 2012 528i yesterday in San Diego for invoice minus loyalty and nav credits.
I took the email approach and sent out about 5-6 emails to the fleet/Internet managers around my area with exactly what I wanted. It took about three emails to get to invoice - loyalty - nav credit with .000195 money factor (since I intend to lease). |

You can definitely get below invoice. The math is really simple: your price = invoice + dealer profit - nav credit - loyalty credit. Try the board sponsors. Greg Poland from Pacific BMW is awesome

I got 200.00 beloww invoice for leasing a 2012 5
( invoice source per bmwconfig ) invoice per dealer was 300 above BMW config( most likely due to MACO fee) so... add to invoice : dealer profit + adq fee+ other misc fees minus nav credit and loyalty and you get your final price PM me if more info need

I am confused. When you guys say you got it for 200 under invoice, is that after loyalty and nav credit? So invoice is 62k, you got it for 58k after nav + loyalty credit?

I get all confused myself with people throwing price around. Some define invoice differently and you never know whether or not incentives are included. My process is to go to the BMWUSA.com site and configure the car, then go to a site such as http://amexnetwork.zag.com/main.html where you can compare sticker prices to BMWUSA just to make sure you configured it properly. The AMEx site will also give you "invoice" and the price various dealers in your area will sell it to you for. $500-$1000 over invoice ( as defined by AMex) seems to be the typical deal these days for a current model year. A 2011 should cost less.
