All settings lost after a few days? WTF?

I have had my new 535i for exactly 2 weeks now and just had this happen to me today. Last night the radio presets and button presets were all working fine. This morning I get in and they're all gone. Bizarre.

I also had a strange issue last night where the drivers side door would not close. I tried pulling it to several times and only received an uncomfortable thunk in reply. Took me 10 minutes of frantic attempts of unlocking and locking the doors, trying the manual key in the door, flipping through the manual, cursing, etc. before I thought to pull on the handle as I would to open the door. Apparently the door was ajar when the car was locked somehow. I think my son might have touched the handle on one of the other doors when I was not paying attention and did not realize what happened. Just something that would never have happened 10 years ago with before all of these great technological advancements. =)

eusdawb, did you lose all your settings -- including all the check boxes and etc. set in the bowels of iDrive, and your seat memory -- or just the radio and button presets, as you indicated?

i've had my car for 4 days and it happened to me last night. . . i thought i totally forgot to do it although i vaguely remembered setting the programmable keys on my way home from the dealer. i set them again last night. we'll see what happens today when i get in to run my errands

My problem kept getting worse nd worse (losing settings constantly) before they finally installed a new radio. Since they installed a new one it has been fine. Let me warn you, if it is just now doing it is will gradually get worse

Great thread. Frantically searching for my keys/FOB this AM and wound up using the alternate FOB. Got into the car and no radio settings, seat changed, steering wheel positioned differently! Who knew??
