Remove X-Drive badge?

My F10 is arrived at the dealer last night, should be picking up in the next couple of days.

How many of you have removed the X-Drive badge from the front fender?
I know it a personal choice thing, but to me it really spoils the lines of the car.

I removed the "Blue Efficiency" badge from the sides of my Bluetec for exactly the same reason. When it comes to "labels",like with women's makeup application,my attitude is "less is more".

I took mine off pretty quick, but I also removed the 550i too.

Mine I also debadged everything for the same reasons to not clutter the nearly perfect design. However, I sometimes wonder if the car ever needed to be towed (and for some unexplainable reason I wasn't on the scene) a tow truck driver would lift the rear end of the car, drive off, and ruin the AWD drivetrain.

I know you comment isn't not directed at me, but my Roundels are now a different color and my front reflectors are painted AW.

When you remove the Xdrive badges, did any of you use dental floss? Also after you removed it, was there any adhesive left and if so, what did you use to remove the leftover adhesive?

Yes, dental floss. Very little residue was left and came off with a very gentle detailer's spray, Eagle, I believe.

heat gun to soften adhesive. Can use hair dryer, but this takes longer. then fishing string, tied to two small pieces of wood. dental floss is too weak. To remove the adhesive, any of the following will work, Tarminator, Goo Gone or 3M adhesive remover. Make sure to add some wax over the area after as those chemicals will remove it.
Different car, but same principles...

The badges came off easily with floss. I then used GooGone to get rid of the adhesive. I followed up with polish and then wax.

I couldn't agree more.
Never removed badges in my life.
I had the lame-ass Xdrive badges removed though.
They ruined the sleek profile of the car.

I took off the X drive and 550i badges right from the start. I used dental floss and a heat gun followed with some Afta. Then a little wax to finish it off. It is the best mod you can do....

The dealer, at my request, removed the x drive badges. They were unsightly. Far cleaner look without them.

My dealer also removed the X-drive and 535i badges from my car. It took less than 10 minutes while I waited, but the prep guy wouldn't tell me how he did it.

Looks clean! Where did you buy your F10? Just curious as I didn't find any CT dealers that were very cooperative. I had to go to West Springfield, MA.

I found both North Haven and Bridgeport to be cooperative. Darien less so. I ended up at North Haven.

I found that New Country BMW is Hartford CT to be very good. I am dealing with the GM Tim PArker who is very responsive and is willing to negotiate very well. I am close to invoice on a 550. Have not ordered yet but have been very pleased thus far

It must be all in who you deal with at the dealership. Not accomodating at all when I went there. I test drove for the first time at New Country. I asked to take a demo for an overnight and the answer was a resounding "NO". I called West Springfield who I had never met and they said "when would you like to pick it up". They pulled it off the showroom floor and said see you later.

Need to find the xDrive emblem.
Anyone still have the xDrive emblems you removed? I'm looking for the pair of them.
I wanted the xDrive floor liners, but since I have a 2010 528i xDrive BMW doesn't make them for the E60. Had to buy from Weathertech. They were the same price with shipping as the dealer wanted for the BMW version. The BMW version has the xDrive emblem instead of the Weathertech emblem.
I want to remove the Weathertech emblem and glue on the xDrive emblem.
Let me know if you still have them, I'm interested in getting a pair.
