Retail ED MSRP - 8%

I used this calculation and it was less than $1 off the invoice pice. MSRP - (MSRP * 0.08)

For the 550xi it's $58268.20 ~ $58270.

90% on the options, just like US pricing.

For the invoice pricing (including ED), you should bmwconfig<dot>com.

As for me, I'm in the final stretch on deciding on 2012 550i GT xDrive. The residual is unbeatable, 68% with 10K or 67% with 12K. I believe that the RWD model is 62% with 10K.

With regards to the $3,500 Build-out credit, that was only with the 2011, according to my SA.

Where did you get the 67% residual # from? I'm doing a 550i and the residual is 61%

67% is for the xDrive model.

Ok, Im' getting an xDrive then! 6 ponts difference in residual more than make up for the difference in cost.

My point exactly!!! I was set on the RWD model but I couldn't say no to the residual on the xDrive model.

BMW has to be trying to push the AWD's since winter is coming.

And the kicker: Solves my problem of driving in DEU/AUS without winter tires during ED. And since tires aren't staggered they can be rotated when needed.

Are you doing ED?

Yes, I am doing ED, shooting for a mid-November pick-up.

Question for you: I read the ED brochure and it states that you're required to have winter tires on in November, but from what you are saying AWD vehicles are exempt from that requirement?

The way the law is written, if you get into an accident or block traffic and do not have the proper tires, you'll be subject to a large fine. Yes, AWD will help you get moving, but it does absolutely nothing to help you stop. And, in some areas, you can't even use the road if you don't have winter tires or chains. AWD is never a substitute for winter tires.

The AWD cars come equipped with All Season tires instead of summer tires. As far as I know the tires comply with the law as long as it has the M+S indicator.

Check the ED forum, there's a LOT of great info.

Living in the snowbelt, while all-season tires can do a fair job in light snow, I've found that there is nothing like a good winter tire when the going gets tough. Not that governments are always known to do the right thing, parts of Canada require winter tires during the winter season. A winter tire will stop faster than nearly any all-season tire when the temperatures drop. And, it will corner better, too when there is more than just a coating of snow or ice. An all-season tire is a compromise all seasons.
