I've never cared for how the S54 sounds, either.

you guys just burst my bubble. I have been convincing myself that my next car will be an E46 M3! I guess I can hope to find a 1994 Canadian issue M3 since I live near Toronto (oh, there were only like 34 of them made!!! so that's never going to happen).

Sorry . Stick with an e36, you'll be happier in the long run.

In other notes, the clutch slave and master were a large concern. But, with some fine tuning the BMW slave and master should work out on the t5. The plan is to reassemble the car this weekend to test our theory.

Haha thanks!

I got brake fluid to the face in clutch r&d last night. Temporary blindness, a swelled up face and a few minutes of puking. I don't reccommend it haha.

I was thinking for a while about an S54 swap, but I had a feeling that an engine that has been tuned that heavily would be a nightmare, 15 minutes on the interwebs confirmed this hypothesis, so now I'm thinking about and M54B30, just need to do it so it doesn't spit fire balls.

How about if I do it so there's a button on the steering wheel or the shift knob so it spits fire when ever I push the button?.

This. Would help keep tailgaters away.

Videos will be much more exciting once the five spedd swap is done

Working on a custom clutch hardline, once that's done we can test out our master/slave setup and if it works we're in business.

Got the new radiator in avd plumbed last night. It's a koyo aluminum rad from a twin turbo 300zx ( I may have parted that car out instead of fixing a blown engine simply because this rad is perfect for the e36 :-p) it's about 6" taller and 1" thicker than the previous rad. Coupled with two new Hayden slim fans I think our overheating worries are over.

Lots of work to do.

Follow my facebook page for photo updates. Jason Draper, I'll give you a link when I'm not lazy.

There's a wheel teaser there

Swap is complete

Driving the car to work in the morning to test it out.

There's more changes and upgrades than my wallet would like to discuss.

But driving it tonight was worth it!

Pics, vids, and details on the way I promise. See some of you at h2o!!!

There were lots of cameras out at h2oi last weekend.

Who was there?

Someone has to have a video to show these guys...I'm clearly much better at building cars than I am making videos and taking pictures
