guys- I really love the 356 rims that are optional from bmw. I know they are pricey adding these on after the fact. I noticed 2 cars at dealerships that have these rims already on them. here is one example:
my question to you and the dealers out there, can you search for cars that have the rims on them? I would love a DGII/carbon/black saphire with these rims. Why do some cars come stock with these rims??
These are not factory installed. They are either dealer or VDC installed. In the link you shared the dealer installed those wheels. Normally they add about $4k to the MSRP if you order the car that way.
You can buy 356 wheels for $2k new. Cheaper to buy new ones and sell the originals.
It's something the dealer made up. Probably includes wheels and BMW performance grille or something like that. They do that a lot. These accessories when prices at MSRP can double or triple the margin on the car. My dealer makes up these packages all the time and puts the cars with these packages on the dealer floor.
look at the options though. Has P1 and 2, convenience package, dvd rear entertainment system, sport package, cold weather and msrps for 64k. Seems about right for all those options minus the wheels and black grille :dunno:
I really like that green in the pic with those wheels

Yeah but its a 2011. He can throw in the options and hold the price because of the incentives. But I guarantee those wheels are not free. If the car didn't have them the price would be less.
But you can capitalize wheels into the lease. It depends how he prices the wheels. If he prices them at 4K including tires with a 50% option residual - then this is not bad. If you can get the dealer to net the new wheels against the original wheels and price it at 2k with a 50% residual that would be best.
